Who were the three men who visited Abraham in Genesis 18?

In Genesis 18, the three men who visited Abraham were the Lord and two angels. Although they were spirit beings, they appeared in human form, sat down, and feasted with Abraham. One of them, the Lord, spoke to Abraham, asking where Sarah was and announcing that Sarah would have a son.

Les explains that in Genesis 18 the three visitors are spirit beings appearing in human form. He identifies them as the Lord and two angels, as will be clarified in the next chapter. They sat down and feasted with Abraham, showing nothing unusual about eating in a resurrected or spiritual body. The account then records one of them asking, 'Where is Sarah thy wife?' Abraham answers that she is in the tent. The Lord promises to return according to the time of life, and Sarah will have a son. Sarah hears this from the tent door behind him. Les also notes the Middle Eastern setting, with the patriarch's tent and the wives' tents set out behind, illustrating the scene.
