Les Feldick Bible Study

Why can cells from one species only briefly survive in another species?

Cells from one species survive only briefly in another because God has said everything after its own kind, leaving no room for an evolutionary process from one original germ cell. Similarities reflect one Creator, not common descent; foreign cells may function temporarily, as pigskin aided human burns, but soon die and slough off.

Les explains that although cells from one species can be taken and will survive for a little while in another, they never survive for long, because God has said everything after its own kind, and there is no room for the evolutionary process that all came from one original germ cell. He illustrates this from human biology and physiology: for burn patients, thin layers of pigskin could be placed on a human burn, because pigskin would breathe and react well with human physiology and enhance healing, but not for long. After just a few days those cells died and sloughed off. The evolutionist says this shows everything came from the same place, but creationists say it shows one master mind in creation. Similarities and analogous things do not prove evolution; rather, the same Creator is the instigator of all of it.
