What did God promise Adam and Eve after they left the garden?
After Adam and Eve left the garden, God promised that from the seed of the woman would come the Redeemer of the human race. This promise set the stage for Satan's opposition, as he immediately worked to stop the coming Redeemer.
Les explains that as soon as God brought Adam and Eve out of the garden, He promised that of the seed of the woman would come the Redeemer of the human race. Les teaches that Satan then immediately put in gear everything at his disposal to stop the coming Redeemer. He did this by bringing about the death and murder of Abel, who was in the line of the coming Just One, and later by turning on the nation that would come from God's covenant with Abraham. Les points out that Satan has continued attacking Israel because God placed everything concerning prophecy on that little nation, and if Satan could destroy Israel, he could destroy God's plan of bringing a Redeemer. Even though Satan was defeated at resurrection morning, Les says he still hasn't quit.
