How did God reveal the Gospel and make it available to us?
God revealed the Gospel through the Apostle Paul, inspiring him by the Holy Spirit to put it in print so we can have it before us. He makes it available through proclaimers who share the message, because most people need someone to explain the Scriptures.
Les explains that God had to reveal the Gospel, and He did it through the Apostle Paul. Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit to put it down in print so we can have it right in front of us. But God also uses proclaimers. Les points to the questions: how shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? How shall they hear without a preacher—or, better, a proclaimer? Les says we have to proclaim the Gospel; we do not necessarily have to preach in the traditional, exercised, stomping and yelling sense. How shall they proclaim except they be sent? Beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings. By and large, most people must have someone explain the Scriptures.
