What did God do to bring about and reveal the Gospel?

Before creation, God pre-planned and set everything in motion: He brought about Christ’s earthly ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and return to heaven. From heaven He then revealed the Gospel—the mysteries—to Paul, namely that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day.

Les explains that this Gospel was all pre-planned before anything was created: God would create man, man would sin, and man would need a Savior and Redeemer. God therefore set everything in motion, bringing about Christ in His earthly ministry, His crucifixion, and His resurrection, and bringing Him back into heaven. From heaven He revealed these things Paul calls the Secrets or Mysteries, whose core is the Gospel that Christ died for our sins. Les also notes the ascended, glorified Lord stopped Paul outside Damascus, saved him by grace, took him into the desert, and revealed this Gospel: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
