What should I think of when I see the word power in the Bible?
When you see the word 'power' in the Bible, think of the vastness of outer space and that God is in total control. It also points to believers being under God's power, love, and a sound mind, not a spirit of fear.
Les explains that whenever you see the word 'power' from this point on, you should think of the vastness of outer space and that God is in total control. He notes that astronomers have never observed one star colliding with another, though they see explosions marking new stars. This same powerful God ensures believers have nothing to fear, for they are not under a spirit of fear but under His power, love, and a sound mind. Paul writes to be partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.
