When and where is the power of God going to be exercised in a future moment?
The power of God will be exercised in a future moment when Israel stands before the Red Sea with no way out. At that deepest crossing point, God moves in, opens the sea, and the people cross on dry ground, rather than during the earlier plagues on Egypt.
Les explains that this rests first upon a person, Moses, and upon the blood, the Passover lamb, and thirdly the word "hour." He points to a future moment when the power of God is exercised, not so much now in all the plagues that came on Egypt, but when Israel stands before the Red Sea with no way out. Then the power of God moves in, the sea opens up, and they cross where it was deepest, on dry ground. He emphasizes it was not an easy place of crossing.
