Les Feldick Bible Study

Was all of human history predestinated according to God's purpose?

Yes. According to the context, all of human history—now unfolding for 6,000 years—was predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things after His predetermined counsel (Acts 2). Everything has been right on schedule, not an hour late or early.

Les teaches that the plan of the ages was set before anything was ever created, including that Christ would go to the cross. He explains that God's foreknowledge meant the crucifixion was known and predetermined, and that Christ came at the exact right moment in time—not a hundred years sooner or later. The human race was placed on the planet, would sin, fall out of fellowship with their Creator, and immediately He could promise a Redeemer. Everything unfolding for 6,000 years of human history was predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after that predetermined counsel in Acts chapter 2. Everything has been right on schedule. We don't know when the Lord's coming, but He does, and it will not be an hour late or early.
