Did Paul go to Jerusalem to check with Peter and the twelve after his conversion?

No. After his Damascus road conversion, Paul did not immediately go back to Jerusalem to check in with Peter and the twelve. Instead, the Lord sent him the opposite direction into Sinai and Arabia, where for about three years he received the revelation of Jesus Christ, not from man.

Les explains that Paul did not immediately return to Jerusalem to check in with Peter and the twelve after his conversion. On the road to Damascus, the Lord spoke to him and said He would send him far hence to the Gentiles. Rather than going back to Jerusalem, Paul was sent the opposite direction down into Sinai and Arabia, and evidently for three years the Lord laid on him a whole revelation of things never hinted at in Scripture. Paul later writes in Galatians that the gospel he preached was not after man, neither received of man nor taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les emphasizes that the term the Body of Christ is not seen in the Old Testament, the Gospels, or the early book of Acts, but only once you get to Paul.
