Les Feldick Bible Study

What analogy does Les use to describe how the Body of Christ grows?

The Body of Christ is likened to a baby growing in the womb: cells are added daily for nine months until the last cells are in place, then delivery comes. Likewise, God has been adding believers one at a time, building the Body.

Les uses the analogy of a baby developing in the womb. Cells are added to that little body from an invisible beginning, day by day for nine months, until the last cells are in place and the body is complete. Then delivery comes—a full-term baby. He says that is the Body of Christ. For 1900 and some years, God has been adding believers one at a time from around the world. All are baptized into that one Body—Jew or Gentile, black or white, East or West, rich or poor, bond or free—and all partake of the one Spirit. The Body has been building since it began, which he places at Acts chapter 9 with Saul’s conversion.
