Les Feldick Bible Study

How long did Peter and Paul each have with the Lord at the start of their ministries?

Peter had three years with the Lord, and Paul likewise had three years with the Lord at the onset of his ministry. Both men therefore began their ministries after a three-year period with the Lord, reflecting the balance God maintains.

Les explains that God balances everything, noting that Peter had three years with the Lord, and Paul had three years with the Lord at the onset of his ministry. He connects this to God’s pattern of evening things up: about 2000 years where God dealt primarily with the nation of Israel, Jew only, with some exceptions of Gentile, and now almost 2000 years where the Body of Christ has been on the scene with a few Jews. Paul then came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia, the area of Antioch and his hometown of Tarsus, marking the beginning of his ministry of calling out a people for His name from among the Gentiles.
