What happened during Paul's three years in Arabia?
During those three years in Arabia, the Lord sent Paul into Sinai and Arabia and gave him a complete revelation of truths never hinted at in Scripture. The gospel he preached was not after man, nor received from man, but came by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Les explains that after Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus, when the Lord told him he would be sent far hence to the Gentiles, Paul did not immediately return to Jerusalem to check in with Peter and the twelve. Instead, the Lord sent him the opposite direction, down into Sinai and Arabia, and evidently for three years the Lord laid on him a whole revelation of things that were never hinted at in Scripture. Les emphasizes that all the way through the Old Testament, the Gospels, and the early book of Acts, the term “the Body of Christ” never appears until Paul. Paul says the gospel he preached was not after man; he neither received it of man nor was taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
