Les Feldick Bible Study

What covenants were under the Abrahamic covenant?

Later covenants placed under the Abrahamic covenant included the Davidic covenant, the Mosaic covenant, and the Palestinian covenant. The Palestinian covenant concerns the land of Palestine; that term is used for geographical clarity. These covenants relate to Israel's earthly promises.

Les teaches that the covenant made with Abraham carried God's earthly promises to the nation of Israel. Under that Abrahamic covenant came later covenants: the Davidic covenant, the Mosaic covenant, and the Palestinian covenant. The Palestinian covenant is so named because it refers to the land of Palestine; Les notes that he uses that term for geographical clarity, since everyone knows where Palestine is. This fits the surrounding context that Christ's earthly ministry was confined to His earthly people, Israel, the lost sheep of the house of Israel, with only two exceptions, one of which is shown in Matthew 15 involving Tyre and Sidon.
