Do Jesus' ascended words carry more weight for us today than what He said on earth to the Jew under the Law?
Yes. What Christ said from His ascended place in glory carries more weight for us today than what He said to the Jew under the Law, and everything Christ says from that ascended place is through the Apostle Paul. This does not take away His earthly words.
Les explains that he is not taking anything away from what Jesus said on earth, but he says what Christ said from His ascended place in glory carries a lot more weight for us today than what He said to the Jew under the Law. Les connects this to the revelations to the Apostle Paul, because everything Christ says from the ascended place is through Paul. The surrounding context stresses that these things were kept secret and revealed to Paul, and that believers must stay in the Book and seek these things out by faith.
