Is there a distinction between Jew and Gentile in the Body of Christ?

No. In the Body of Christ there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile. The prison epistles contain no reference to the Jew, because all have flowed into the Body of Christ, where believers are one as members, with no division based on background.

Les explains that the prison epistles—Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon—were written while Paul was imprisoned in Rome shortly before his martyrdom. In these letters there is no single mention of the Old Testament and not one reference to the Jew, because everything has now flowed into the teaching of the Body of Christ, where there is no distinction. There is no Jew and no Gentile as far as a division of background; all believers have become one as members of the Body of Christ. Les emphasizes that this is strictly church ground, directed to the church age believer, and that even Romans and Corinthians do not stress our position in Christ in the same way. He notes that ninety-some times in six chapters the prepositional phrases “in Him,” “in Christ,” and “in Whom” depict this position.
