Where are believers positioned according to God's Word?

Believers are positioned in Christ, in the heavenlies, according to God's Word. They are placed positionally as children by Jesus Christ Himself, predestinated into that position, and are part of everything God has been building since Adam. This is received by faith, not feeling, as Scripture declares it true.

Les teaches that the believer's position is in Christ, in the heavenlies. The Jew knew nothing of that position; he knew his covenant relationship and the promises God made to the forefathers, but not a position in Christ. Even today it is hard to comprehend, but we take these things by faith. We may not feel like we are in Christ in Heaven, but we know we are because the Word says so. Emotions are fine up to a point, but they can never take the place of good biblical doctrine. On the basis of God's Word, that is where we are: in Christ, in the heavenlies, part and parcel of everything God has been building ever since He began with Adam in Genesis. In Ephesians 1, He predestinated us into that position, and adoption means He placed us positionally as children by Jesus Christ Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glory.
