What did God do by His grace instead of leaving us lost?
By His grace, God did not let us slip into an eternity lost and without hope; instead, He presented us with the plan of salvation, and we responded. Through that grace we are accepted in the Beloved, positionally in Christ, not by our own deserving.
Les explains that grace is the word he has trumpeted, because we deserve none of this and nothing in this world. What we have and enjoy—spiritual, material, or physical—is all by the grace of God. He could have let us slip out into an eternity lost and without hope, but by His grace He presented us with the plan of salvation, and we responded. The result is that we are now positionally accepted in the Beloved, in Christ, not by our own deserving.
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
