What has the Gospel done for believers?

The Gospel has saved and justified believers, granting them a position with Christ in the heavenlies. It also provides necessary reproof and correction, guiding them into deeper doctrine and ultimately to glory, where they will enjoy all the blessings of His presence, no longer tied to the things of this world.

Les explains that the Gospel has saved and justified believers, and that they constantly need reproof and correction. He contrasts believers who lack hunger for deeper things and fall asleep with those who are excited about all that God has done when Christ died for them and rose from the dead. Les says this leads into deeper doctrine and finally to glory: believers are positioned with Christ in the heavenlies, no longer tied to the things of this world, and will enjoy all the blessings of glory in His presence. He points to Romans 8:17-18 as putting it better than he ever could.
