Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les Feldick say believers should get out of the four Gospels and into Paul's writings?

Believers should move from the four Gospels into Paul's writings because the Gospels remain about 90% Jewish and have been set aside for the Age of Grace. Paul's prison epistles reveal deeper church truths where Jew and Gentile are one in Christ, with no distinction or Old Testament reference.

Les teaches that people must get out of the four Gospels and get into Paul’s writings because the four Gospels are still 90% Jewish, and that has all been set aside and is no longer in God’s program. He stresses this does not mean throwing them away, any more than the Old Testament; it means putting them into the perspective of unfolding, progressive revelation. In the prison epistles—Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians—God is no longer making reference to the Jew or the Old Testament. There is no dividing between Jew and Gentile; every saved person, Jew or Gentile, comes into the Body of Christ on the same level, and the Jew has lost his identity so far as the church age is concerned. That is the Pauline teaching for the Age of Grace.
