Les Feldick Bible Study

How must a Jew be saved today?

A Jew must be saved today as a sinner, as a fallen son of Adam, just exactly like a Gentile. In the Age of Grace there is no difference: Jew and Gentile are saved into the one Body of Christ on the same level, not by former privilege or Old Testament demarcation.

Les explains that in the prison epistles and the deeper church truths, God is no longer dealing with the old demarcation between Jew and Gentile. Now He deals with the whole human race on one level, and every saved person—Jew or Gentile—comes into the Body of Christ on the same level. The Jew has lost his identity as such for the Church Age; God's purpose is to bring Jew and Gentile together into one Body with no difference. So a Jew today must be saved as a sinner, a fallen son of Adam, just like a Gentile. Les warns that many Messianic Jews are turning away from this Pauline teaching and trying to return to a former place of privilege, but that privilege is not there. In Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians there is no dividing between Jew and Gentile and no reference to the Old Testament.
