Does the Church Age have anything to do with Old Testament prophecy or Israel?
The Church Age is a Pauline revelation and stands distinct from Old Testament prophecy and the nation of Israel. It must be removed before God resumes His program with Israel, including the final seven years divided into two 3½-year periods and the appearance of the Antichrist.
Les explains that after Pentecost, when Israel was no longer going to believe that Jesus was the Christ, God sent them back into the mainstream of humanity, not as evangelists but as a wandering nation steeped in spiritual blindness and unbelief. Then God began something totally different, marked parenthetically: the outcalling of the Body of Christ, which is called the Church Age. That is a Pauline revelation, preparing the world for the next event on God’s calendar, the rapture or outcalling of the Church, which is His Body. Since this is all Pauline revelation, it has nothing to do with Old Testament prophecy and nothing to do with the nation of Israel. Consequently, it must be taken out of the way before God can pick up with Israel and bring out the final seven years, which Scripture divides into 3½ and 3½, and the appearance of the Antichrist.
