How did the nation of Israel come into being according to the Bible timeline after the Tower of Babel?
After the Tower of Babel at about 2200 B.C., another 200 years passed. Due to the false religions, pagan religions, and idolatry that arose there, God took a different course. Out of the river of humanity, He called one man, Abraham, and through Abraham's call the nation of Israel, the Jew, came into being.
Les explains that after Noah's Flood, the next event in biblical history was the Tower of Babel, only 200 years later, around 2200 B.C. At Babel the nations appeared, and God separated them by confusing languages. Then another 200 years passed. Because of the false religions, pagan religions, and idolatry that came in at the Tower of Babel, God had to do something totally different. He let the human race coming from Adam flow like a river, and out of that river of humanity, with the call of one man, Abraham, the nation of Israel, the Jew, made its appearance.
