When did Noah's Flood take place according to the Bible timeline?

Noah's Flood took place around 2400 B.C., roughly 1,600 years after Adam and 2,400 years before Christ. The timeline places Adam's creation around 4004 B.C. and the Flood at 2400 B.C., in round figures. Scripture covers this period in Genesis 1–11.

Les explains that way back in 4000 B.C., going back from the time of Christ's birth at Bethlehem to the creation of Adam in 4004 B.C., Adam's race and that whole generation up to the Flood covered a period of 1600 years. He always tells people this is in round figures; it may not be the exact year, but in round year terms it is easier to remember that the Flood took place at 2400 B.C., 2400 years before Christ, or 1600 years after Adam. He also notes that this whole period is recorded Biblically in the first 11 chapters of Genesis, covering that whole 1600 year period from the creation of Adam until that generation was destroyed with Noah's Flood.
