Les Feldick Bible Study

How long before Abraham was the flood according to this lesson's timeline?

According to this lesson's timeline, the flood came about 400 years before Abraham appeared on the scene. The tower of Babel is placed roughly halfway between the flood and Abraham. These dates are given as round figures, not precise chronological measurements.

Les teaches that time is like a river and that Abram, later Abraham, appears about halfway between Adam and the cross, roughly 2000 years on each side. In that framework, the flood occurred 400 years before Abraham came on the scene, and the tower of Babel is placed about halfway between the flood and Abraham. He notes these are round figures. After the flood, God started over with Noah and his three sons, but within 200 years their offspring were again in total rebellion and we have the tower of Babel.
