Why aren't most people committing all the sins listed in Romans 1?
The vast majority of people are restrained by inhibition and training, which enable them to keep such sins under control. However, when that control is lost, any of the sins listed in Romans 1 can manifest, revealing the underlying sin nature.
Les explains that Romans 1 exposes the true sin nature of man, which people would rather skip. He grants that the vast majority of people, by inhibition and training, are able to keep these sins under control, but when they lose control, any of these sins can appear. He points out that newspapers are full of such behavior. He connects this to Genesis 6:5, where just before the flood God saw that every imagination of man's heart was only evil continually, and reminds that Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Les says all you have to do is look around, read your paper, listen to your news, and it's obvious we are getting there fast.
