What transition is described in the Book of Acts according to Les?

The Book of Acts describes a transition from Israel’s Jewish program—temple worship, the Law, and Jesus as the Christ, King, and Redeemer—to Paul’s Gospel of grace through faith plus nothing. It is a change of program, not a contradiction, comparable to a presidential administration transition.

Les teaches that the Book of Acts describes a transition similar to moving from one presidential administration to another, like Jimmy Carter’s administration to Ronald Reagan’s. There are different ideologies, yet both operate under the same Constitution, and nothing much is accomplished between the election and inauguration. In Acts, the transition is from the Jewish program of temple worship, the Law, and Jesus as the Christ, King, and Redeemer of Israel, over to Paul’s Gospel of grace through faith plus nothing. It is not a contradiction but a change of program. Les also warns that Acts should not be used as a doctrinal book because it will throw a curve, while Paul’s letters follow the “but” in verse 26.
