Why were the Galatian churches wiped out of history?

The Galatian congregations were wiped out because they fell under legalism and refused to stay with Paul's simple Gospel of Grace. Paul later wrote to Timothy that all in Asia, including Galatia, had turned away from him. Consequently, none of those churches survived, and they fell into the dust of history.

Les explains that 2 Timothy 1 records Paul saying all they in Asia, which includes Galatia, turned away from him. He asks how much effect the letter to the Galatians really had long term—almost none. It is good for us as part of the Word of God, but its impact on the Galatian congregations evidently fell on deaf ears. Several years later, writing to Timothy, Paul had to say by inspiration that they had all turned against him. Les thinks they all fell under legalism, and consequently none of those churches survived; they are in one of those cities left today, all fallen into the dust of history. This happened because they refused to stay with Paul's simple Gospel of Grace. Les notes the world hasn't changed—people still ridicule faith plus nothing.
