Where did Timothy, Barnabas, Silas, Titus, and Epaphroditus learn what they knew?
They learned everything they knew from the apostle Paul. Scripture says Timothy, Barnabas, Silas, Titus, Epaphroditus, and other friends and fellow laborers all received their understanding from Paul, who said, 'Be followers of me,' and taught his ways in Christ everywhere in every assembly.
Les teaches that Timothy, Barnabas, Silas, Titus, Epaphroditus, and all of these friends and fellow laborers had all learned everything they had from the apostle Paul. In 1 Corinthians 4:16-17, Paul beseeches believers to be followers of him and says he sent Timothy, his beloved son, to bring them into remembrance of his ways. Les emphasizes that everything was going out from this one apostle, and Paul taught his ways in Christ everywhere in every assembly. He then turns to Philippians chapter 3, verse 17, where he notes Paul's warm place in his heart for the Philippians and that this letter contains not a word of criticism.
For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
