Why was Christ made of a woman and made under the law?

Christ was made of a woman and made under the law for the purpose of redemption: to buy back and pay the price for those under the law, so that the whole world might receive the positioning as adoption of sons.

Les explains that Christ came, made of the woman, made under the law, and then asks what the purpose was. The answer given is to redeem, buy back, and pay the price for them that were under the law, so that we, the whole world, might receive this positioning as adoption of sons. The surrounding context contrasts this with a gospel of grace based on His death, burial, and resurrection, and later cites Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Galatians 4:4

Galatians 4:5

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
