Was God ever late or early with His timing in the Old Testament?

No. Old Testament history shows God's timing was always exact. Abraham was brought out of Ur at the right time; Israel's Passover in Egypt came exactly 430 years later; the crossing into the Promised Land occurred 40 years to the day; the prophecy from Nehemiah 2 to the triumphal entry was exactly 483 years.

Les teaches that in the fullness of time, on God's timetable, Old Testament events demonstrate precise timing. He says God was never a day late or a day early. For example, God brought Abraham out of Ur at exactly the right time and set him toward Canaan to become father of the Jewish race. Exactly 430 years later came the Passover night in Egypt, when Moses was ready to lead Israel out. There was also a 40-year span from leaving Egypt until entering the Promised Land, 40 years to the day. On Passover night in Egypt and 40 years later, it was the same day and month of the year when they celebrated Passover with Joshua leading them across the Jordan. Les also notes Sir Robert Anderson saw that from the decree to Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem, recorded in Nehemiah 2, until the triumphal entry or Palm Sunday was exactly 483 years as prophesied.
