Why is the book of Galatians still relevant for Christians today?

Galatians remains relevant because much of Christendom is saturated with legalism, making it hard for people to break away. It declares that believers are not under law but under grace, and grace means total freedom and liberty. This message is as appropriate today as when it was written.

Les explains that Paul wrote Galatians urgently, possibly in his own hand despite an eye problem, using large letters. The whole little letter is written with this in view: you are not under law, you are under grace. It is still appropriate today because most of Christendom is so saturated with legalism that people find it hard to break away. Human nature, like Paul's Judaism, becomes brainwashed with religion and tradition, so everyone today is ingrained with legalism of one sort or another. Thus the letter is just as appropriate for us today as when it was written: we are not under law, we are under grace, and grace means total freedom and total liberty.
