How many years does Exodus 12:40 say the children of Israel sojourned in Egypt?

Exodus 12:40 says the sojourning of the children of Israel who dwelt in Egypt was 430 years. It further states that at the end of those 430 years, on the selfsame day, all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

Les explains that Genesis 15:13 had already told Abram his seed would be afflicted 400 years, while Exodus 12:40 records the sojourning of the children of Israel who dwelt in Egypt as 430 years. He notes that at the end of the 430 years, even the selfsame day, all the hosts of the Lord—the nation of Israel—went out from Egypt. That night was the night of the Passover, when Israel began to exit Egypt.
