What covenants are in the Old Testament?

The Old Testament contains several covenants: the Abrahamic, introduced in Genesis 12; the Davidic, promising a King through David's line; the Palestinian, promising the land of Palestine; and the covenant of the Law. These covenants are secure because God will never go back on His Word.

Les teaches that the Old Testament contains all kinds of covenants, beginning with the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 12. He also identifies the Davidic covenant, which promised that through the line of David—coming down through Solomon and Nathan—the King, the Messiah, would one day come. The Palestinian covenant promised Israel the land of Palestine, and there was also the covenant of the Law. Les emphasizes that none of these covenants could be added to, taken away, or canceled by Israel or anyone else, because they were made by God and will end only with God in His Heaven. Despite Israel's opposition, God's mercy will never depart from them because it is a covenant, and God will never go back on His Word.
