were all the worst sins of humanity laid on Christ?

Scripture teaches that not only lesser sins but the horrible, worst imaginable sins the human race can commit were laid on Christ. The most vile sin man could imagine was placed on Him, and He became the curse of the Law so God could pardon and reconcile believing humanity.

Les explains that Christ’s bearing of sin was not limited to trivial or “frilly nilly dilly” sins. He says the horrible, worst imaginable sins humans can commit were all laid on Him, including the worst, most vile sin man could ever imagine. Christ took the place of that rebel, sinful son of Israel, so God could put the curse of the Law on Him. Les emphasizes this is strong language and not what most people like to hear, but it is what the Word declares: Christ became the curse under God and fulfilled all the curse of the Law. As a result, God can say He has forgiven, reconciled, and pardoned every human being that has ever lived, and it is there for anyone and everyone who will simply believe it, though many refuse.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
