Can you fool people into thinking you're a Christian by keeping the law?

Yes, law-keeping may deceive people into thinking a person is a Christian, but it cannot fool God. Scripture declares that no one is justified by the law in God’s sight, for the just shall live by faith plus nothing. Attempting to keep the law for salvation requires keeping all of it, which is impossible.

Les explains that while law keeping may fool people into thinking someone is a Christian, it never fools God, because the book says no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. The law is not of faith; the man who does them must live in them. If a person wants to keep the Law for salvation, he must keep it to the last iota. That would require a temple, the priesthood, and the sacrifice, and even then they could not accomplish it because it is impossible. A relatively new believer noted that keeping the Sabbath and the Law would require a temple, a priest, and a herd of sheep, and Les agreed that if you are going to keep the Law, you must keep it all.

Galatians 3:11

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
