What does the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David refer to in James's speech?

In James's speech, the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David refers to Christ's Second Coming. After God first visited the Gentiles to take out a people for His name, He will return and build again David's fallen tabernacle and set it up.

Les explains that James is the moderator of the conference, not Peter. James recounts Simeon, that is Peter, declaring how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. After that calling out of a people for His name, God told the prophet He will return and build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen down, build it again, and set it up. Les says this refers to His Second Coming. James then gives the decision not to trouble Gentile converts but to write that they abstain from pollutions of idols, fornication, things strangled, and blood, things that still hold true today.

Acts 15:16
