Who was the gospel of the uncircumcision committed to, and who was the gospel of the circumcision committed to?

The gospel of the uncircumcision was committed to Paul for the Gentiles, as he was given the Gospel for the Gentile. The gospel of the circumcision was committed to Peter for the Jews, since the twelve apostles, including Peter, were apostles of Israel and not sent to Gentiles.

Les explains that when the leaders saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto them, comparable to the gospel of the circumcision committed to Peter, they recognized Paul's authority. Jesus had commanded the twelve not to go to Gentiles but only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Thus the twelve were apostles of Israel; Scripture shows no Gentile ministry among them. Paul was given the Gospel for the Gentiles from the same God and with the same kind of authority that they had received the Gospel of the circumcision, or the Jew, which is the Gospel of the Kingdom. Acts 15 is Luke's account, while Galatians is Paul's first-person account.

Galatians 2:7
