What did Jesus tell Ananias Paul would have to do for His name's sake?

Jesus told Ananias that He would show Paul how great things he must suffer for His name's sake. Paul would bear Christ's name before Gentiles, kings, and Israel, and would endure beatings, scourging, cold, nakedness, sickness, and fear for his life.

Les explains that in Acts chapter 9, the Lord Jesus spoke to Ananias and said He would show Saul of Tarsus, later known as Paul, how great things he must suffer for His name's sake. Les points out that Paul did indeed suffer, as seen in the Corinthian letters: he was beaten, scourged, cold, naked, often sick, and lived in fear for his life because of what the Lord Jesus had promised him there. This suffering was part of the Lord revealing Himself in Paul, who would bear His name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.

Acts 9:16

For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
