How did the nation of Israel receive the Law from God?

God called Moses up into the mountain in Exodus and gave the Law to Moses. Moses then took it down the mountain and gave it to the nation of Israel, so Israel came under the Law, not the rest of the world.

Les explains that when God called Moses up into the mountain back in Exodus, He gave the Law to Moses, and Moses took it down the mountain and gave it to the nation of Israel. Israel therefore came under the Law, not the rest of the world. Les notes that the mode of operation of the Law was given only to Israel, yet Romans 3 says all the world came under the condemnation power of the Law and proved no one is righteous. He contrasts this with Paul's apostleship and the doctrines of Grace revealed to Paul, which are not confined to Israel but are primarily to the Gentiles, while also including the Jew.
