Why couldn't Christ pour out the tribulation wrath after His ascension?
After His ascension, the crucified and risen Christ was at the Father’s right hand. Wrath and vexation were yet to come, followed by His return to set up the Kingdom. But Israel rejected it, so the King could not pour out the tribulation wrath. He had to wait in Heaven until something else glorious came to pass.
Les explains that Peter remained on the top timeline in the prophetic program, speaking of the One Israel crucified as raised from the dead and gone back to glory according to Psalms 110:1, seated at the Father’s right hand. Wrath and vexation would yet come, and then Christ would return and set up the Kingdom. But because Israel rejected it, the King could not pour out the tribulation wrath. He had to wait in Heaven until something else glorious would come to pass, which moves the narrative toward Acts chapter 9 and Saul’s conversion.
