Who is the King promised in the Abrahamic covenant?

The King promised in the Abrahamic covenant is the Messiah and Redeemer, God in the flesh. The covenant included a nation, a land, and a future King, and the context identifies that promised King as the Messiah, the divine Redeemer who would reign over that nation.

Les teaches that the Abrahamic covenant has three main tenets: God would make of this one man a nation of people, place them in their own geographical area of land, and at some future day He—the person of God in the flesh—would be their King. Les identifies that promised King as the Messiah and the Redeemer. He also sets this in the timeline from the 2000 BC call of Abraham through the next 2000 years to Christ's first advent, a period he calls the time of prophecy or the prophetic program, which was later interrupted by the church age. He notes true prophecy often gives a time frame, as Genesis 15 illustrates.
