What did God have to do to the Apostle Paul despite his education and background?
Despite his advanced education under Gamaliel and his wealthy Jewish family background, God had to humble the Apostle Paul and bring him down to a nobody. Scripture says God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.
Les explains that the Apostle Paul was highly educated under Gamaliel, the chief rabbi of that day, and came from a wealthy Jewish family. Yet God had to take Paul down to a nobody, just as He had taken Moses out to the back side of the desert and made him a sheepherder. Les then reads 1 Corinthians 1:27: God did not choose noblemen or the highly educated; instead, He chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.
