Is earthly music a preview of heavenly music?

Yes. Good music heard down below is just a sampling of what we will experience when we get to glory. Heaven is pictured as having beauty and music, and Paul glimpsed paradise, hearing unspeakable words he was not permitted to repeat.

Les explains that Paul, in II Corinthians 12, was given a glimpse of heaven as we normally think of it—with its beauty and no doubt its music. Les says he loves music and believes that when we hear good music down below, it is just a sampling of what we will experience when we get to glory. Paul evidently had full exposure: he saw the glories, heard magnificent things, was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words it was not lawful to utter. God let him see and hear but told him he could not repeat it and had to keep it to himself.
