Les Feldick Bible Study

What dates does Les give for Paul's first missionary journey and for writing 2 Corinthians?

The first missionary journey is placed at about 41 or 42 AD, while 2 Corinthians was written about 60 AD. Those dates are given to show chronological fit with the stoning at Derbe, when Paul was dragged out for dead and had the opportunity to see Heaven's glories.

Les teaches that Paul was probably in about 41 or 42 AD when he was on that first missionary journey, and that he wrote II Corinthians in about 60. Les ties II Corinthians with the stoning in Derbe because chronologically it fits. He explains that when Paul was stoned at Derbe and dragged out for dead, he experienced a tremendous opportunity to see the glories of Heaven. Les says it is pretty obvious Paul was out of the body, with the body lying outside Derbe having been stoned, while his soul and spirit took flight and he was caught up to the third heaven.
