What does it mean if a teacher's message doesn't line up with the Word of God?
If a teacher's message does not line up with the Word of God, that teacher could very well be a minister of Satan, who transforms himself as an angel of light. Such ministers appear righteous, but their end will be according to their works, and their faith may not be what they thought.
Les explains that we must be careful to test what we see and hear: does it line up with the Word of God? If it does not, then he cautiously says they could very well be a minister of Satan, who is the angel of light. These people seemingly shine forth like an angel of light and appear to have power, and the world is full of it. Yet their end, their eternal doom, is going to be according to their works. A great old Bible scholar from England envisioned the day when such people will stand before the great white throne, a place of only the lost, and suddenly realize that their faith was not what they thought it was.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
