Who does Eve symbolize in 2 Corinthians 11:3?

Eve symbolizes the Church, the Body of Christ, in 2 Corinthians 11:3. As the serpent beguiled Eve through subtlety, so Satan seeks to corrupt the Church's minds from the simplicity in Christ. This makes the Church the primary target of Satan's opposition.

Les teaches that Eve is a symbol of the Church, the Body of Christ. He explains that just as the serpent beguiled Eve in the Garden through his subtlety, so the Church's minds can be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Therefore, it stands to reason that Satan constantly attacks the Church because he knows it is in the realm of the Church that he has his greatest opposition. Les adds that when good men do nothing, bad things happen, and if Satan can neutralize the Body of Christ so it says nothing, he can have full sway.

2 Corinthians 11:3

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
