What did Paul mean by 'by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report' in 2 Corinthians 6:8?

Paul meant that his apostolic ministry met with both honor and dishonor, and with evil reports and good reports. Some constantly besmirched his name, calling him a deceiver, yet he remained true. Christ faced the same attitude from His peers, as the Lord had to put up with similar opposition.

Les teaches that in 2 Corinthians 6:8 Paul came with honor and dishonor. There were those who were constantly besmirching his name by evil report and good report, declaring him to be a deceiver, and yet true. Les points out that Christ faced the same attitude of His peers and had to put up with the same treatment, then turns to John's Gospel chapter 7 to show the parallel.
