How did Paul feel about the things being said about him?

Paul was heartbroken by some of the things being spoken about him. He faced snide remarks from Corinth that attacked his apostleship, and he responded by defending his apostleship in his follow-up letter, 2 Corinthians, which was written after his first letter of reproof and correction.

Les explains that in 2 Corinthians, Paul is following up his first letter, which was a letter of reproof and correction rather than a letter of commendation. Paul is first and foremost defending his apostleship because of all the snide remarks coming out of Corinth that attacked the apostles. Like us, Paul was heartbroken by some of the things being spoken about him.
