What has God said He has done for our salvation?
God has said He has done everything that needs to be done for our salvation—He has done it all. Justification comes to the one who believes in Jesus, and God does whatever the sinner needs done on his behalf to bring him back to Himself in full reconciliation.
Les explains that God has said He has done everything that needs to be done for our salvation, and He will not stand for any human being to add to what He has done. If someone says they must do this or that, it makes God a liar. Les doesn't know if God will bend, but doesn't think so; on the basis of God's Word, we're on thin ice if we say we must do such and such to have salvation, because it's just not in there. Justification comes to him who believes in Jesus—His death, burial, and resurrection. This ties to reconciliation: God will do whatever the sinner needs done on his behalf to bring him back to Himself for full reconciliation. Every reconciled believer then has a ministry of reconciliation.
