Les Feldick Bible Study

What was man's original relationship with God like in the Garden?

In the Garden, God created man in His own image and enjoyed fellowship with him. God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, and their relationship was described as sweet fellowship where everything was super and fine.

Les teaches that God created man in His own image and had fellowship with him in the Garden. God could walk with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, and it was sweet fellowship; everything was super and fine. Les also points out that reconciliation only becomes necessary after a separation has occurred, so the original Garden relationship was an unbroken fellowship with no need for reconciliation. That separation later happened in the spiritual realm between man and God, making reconciliation necessary.

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 3:8

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
